CleanStar helps kick off breakthrough rural power initiative with support from the Rockefeller Foundation

CleanStar is partnering with DESI Power, CII Green Business Centre, and the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy to develop innovative business models and pilot projects for rural power production that target Mobile Phone Base Stations as "anchor customers", while also supplying power to BoP communities.

AGRO-FORESTRY PROGRAM

CleanStar registers 285,800 trees with UNEP's Billion Tree Campaign

To date, CleanStar has planted more than 280,000 Jatropha curcas trees and 5,800 Pongamia pinnata trees across its sites in India.

We have also helped partners plant an additional 200,000 Jatropha and 2,000 Pongamia trees in India.

Mobile Oil Processing Unit team studies needs in Haiti

Our MOPU team is preparing a proposal to assist a Haiti-based organisation deploy a MOPU.

CleanStar participates in Rework India workshop
 
The workshop was in preparation for the 5th Global Youth Employment Summit in Sweden next year which will seek to generate 2 million green livelihoods for young people around the world.

CleanStar speaks on the "Green Battle and Media" panel at the Symbiosis Mumbai Footprint 09 Conference

The event's goal was to enable businesses as well as individuals to think about new business opportunities for growth by selling products and services that promote a healthy co-existence of people, planet & profit.

The panel focused on the role of media in creating awareness & demand for greener products and urged Symbiosis media students to promote green alternatives.
